I travelled here to stay as I have always wanted to play this course. It was only 20 min drive. Well you tell that to that silly idiot inside the cars GPS. I ended up on some dirt road out in the never never. It ended up being an hours trip.
That's the second time I have been taken for a ride (pardon the pun) by him.
Just yesterday I entered a location and the idiot told me to go the next round-a-bout and turn left, which I did. After about 5 k’s I arrived at my destination, about 100 meters from where I started #/!@?#!. This bloke has no common sense, and I’m sure I heard a small chuckle from him at the end. I’ll get him back, the next time he asks me to turn right I’ll turn left!!
The Rich River club has free RV parking for members ($14 or $25 for 3 years). I enjoyed a round with a couple I met at the pro shop and we had a wonderful day together. They are around 80 YO and they play usually three times a week, and tomorrow they are taking their motorbikes for a ride. How great is that, such a great couple.
I’ve been here for three nights and today I mainly sat around the van reading and catching up on a few little things and even managed a poppy nap, first time on this trip. I never sit around like that, but that’s how relaxed I am at moment. Oh, I did go down to the nets and practice some golf. And I went to the club and put $10 in the pokies (big $ for my standards and it lasted about 5 min). But that’s the life story of my gambling. I’m ready to head out tomorrow only about an hour down river,
probably arguing with that bloody GPS dude.
Meet Buttons, Dicko and Bud.
Great blokes to play golf with.
I travelled 35 klms to Kyabramin Victoria and played in their local comp, $20.
Thoroughly enjoyed the day despite some pretty ordinally golf.
I played of a 5 handicap here, but didn't do it much justice.
