York Peninsula like the rest of South Australia was very dry and covered by wheat crops (stubble). fishing consists mainly of crabs and calamari and mainly fished off a jetty that EVERY coastal village has. Golf courses were in every town with mainly sand greens and dry dusty fairways, most unplayable or abandoned due to the very dry conditions, except for a few well watered courses and some excellent ones, like The Dunes in Moonta and Port Augusta.
Great place to explore with the highlight being at Dhilba Guuranda-Innes National Park at the Southern tip of the York.
